We have said many times that "it is not the name of Brooks which makes the Saddle good, but the Saddle and its excellence which makes the name supreme."

Brooks cycling saddles have been around for over a century and they're still manufactured and hand assembled today just as they were 40 or 50 years ago. Leather and metal have rarely been combined in such a beautiful and functional fashion. Here is a great video (broken into two parts) detailing the history, origins and manufacturing process of the iconic Brooks company and their distinctive cycling saddles.

Craftsmanship like this is all too rare these days so it's great to see a company like Brooks continue to be successful manufacturing the same quality products that they began with.

Team Professional is a timeless Brooks Classic Saddle for sportive riders. A high amount of craftsmanship is needed for this model to hammer the big copper rivets and skive the leather on the sides with a special knife. The ladies version is called Team Professional S. Both ladies and gents models are available with chrome or copper plated steel rails and with titanium rails.
